20|20 visits Euroshop 2008...

Euroshop, held in Germany every three years, is the world’s biggest retail trade fair. It showcases some of the latest innovations in all aspects of retail including shopfitting, lighting, visual merchandising and design. Two members of 20|20’s team went to investigate this years offering.

Manufacturers use the exhibition to launch their latest products and invest large amounts of time and money into creating amazing, interactive and engaging stands. Visplay’s efforts were our personal favourite, arranging their shopfitting systems under an impressive curved ceiling and attracting plenty of designers from all over the world into their buzzing bar to exchange views and experiences.

EuroSales was the most visually inspiring area, highlighting the latest trends in visual merchandising. New technology featured strongly in this years show with many stands from hi-tech lighting to sensor-led information technology. A major theme of the show was engagement – interacting and engaging with your audience.
