This week’s website is selling a product I consume quite regularly but really don’t know that much about – wine.

Laithwaites have relaunched their site with a nifty wine chooser that lets customers narrow down their options based on combinations of price, type, country, variety and the kind of food the wine will accompany – perfect for experts and amateurs like me.
There’s a lot of good supporting content with plenty of wine stories from around the world, blogs and clear routes to purchase. Laithwaites have also implemented the obligatory reviews and ratings functionality which all ecommerce sites need but also have a presence on Twitter, Flickr and Facebook.
Whilst the design isn’t the prettiest, this is a very customer centric website with the focus on finding the wine that’s right for you...
I’m sure it will find my perfect wine many times!
