Website Of The Week Serene Order
Not really so much a Website Of The Week, more a showcase of using web technology in-store.
Serene Order is a fashion boutique in Solihull. Customers start off in the ground floor lounge viewing the latest catwalk shows on large TV screens. They then move upstairs where they browse the collections on the Serene Order website. Items of clothing are ordered and delivered to the store’s fitting rooms ready for trying-on.
The website also has a Personal Shopping facility where VIP customers can request personal exhibitions of new fashion items in their home.
While the site's navigation could do with a tidy, this can be forgiven as it’s a great example of a small business utilising web technology to maximise customer impact in-store. Whether this idea can be replicated in high street fashion remains to be seen, but in the meantime I hope Serene Order is successful – I may even find myself buying a t-shirt or two!
