ARK Schools, a UK education charity and part of the international children’s charity ARK, approached 20|20 to redesign the identity of the new Globe Academy in South London.
Globe Academy has been established to transform the opportunities and aspirations of all its pupils by providing them with a high standard of education. Designed by Future Systems, the academy is going to incorporate a specialist performing arts space, science labs, excellent technology facilities and music, dance and drama halls.
The visual identity is brought to life by the creation of a handcrafted logo in an illustrative and contemporary style, which portrays elements that capture the essence of the school: a strong multicultural community with expertise in music and mathematics.
The identity will appear in academy prospectuses, on school badges and signage around the site: an opportunity to create a unique brand for a unique space and academy.
The Globe Academy opens in 2008.
