AcuMedia, Chinalife's sister company, has been developing Chinese medicine and therapy for over 30 years. The company's aim was to bring health and beauty solutions and services to the everyday life in a new high street store that looked 'effortlessly thrown together'.
Chinalife's design positions the boutique as a lifestyle brand by combining health clinics, massage spaces, a laboratory, shop and teahouse in one space and balancing casual consumer and holistic lifestyle choices: East/West, Modern/Traditional, Raw/Refined, Simple/Exciting, Pure/Indulgent.
Establishing an overall equilibrium between the different areas, showing sensitivity to both cultures was essential. Chinese-inspired graphics, good fortune patterns, Feng Shui and Qi messages enhance the space and embody the spiritual element of the Chinese Culture.
The Camden Store saw and immediate increase in patient numbers and has exceeded all expectations since opening in February 2007.
