20|20 win DBA Design Effectiveness award
Pets at Home and Arsenal's Diamond Club were both honoured with a prestigious Design Effectiveness award at the ceremony in October. Unlike traditional design awards, they recognise and reward the commercial impact of great design.
Pets at Home and 20|20 entered the redeveloped Romford store project, which was transformed into a destination where pet lovers can learn about and buy everything they need for a happy, healthy pet. Sales increases above company average and increased profit margins in a store that was already performing brilliantly were just two of the factors that convinced the judges that the design was worthy of this award.
20|20's design for the luxurious Arsenal Diamond Club justified the premium membership fees of £25,000 and additional annual seat price of £25,000 by delivering first year revenues of £4.1million from 84 members. Membership sold out 2 months prior to opening and currently has 15 people on the waiting list. The design has been a resounding success for Arsenal and wholeheartedly deserved its award.
