Debenhams wins Department Store Interior of the Year 2008

Debenhams and its design consultancy 20|20 picked up the prestigious title of Department Store Interior of the Year 2008 for its Liverpool store.

"Debenhams has placed itself at the heart of the regeneration of this great city and its impressive store is a fantastic example of how to use multi-level space" says Ian McGarrigle, director of the World Retail Congress.

Debenhams CEO, Rob Templeman appointed 20|20 to transform their Home department into the destination for customers who want “fashion and style” for their homes.

The new Liverpool store is a truly contemporary environment, responding to customers’ lifestyle, where strong product landscaping ensures that the own label and branded ranges are clearly presented as 'good, better, best'.

‘Designers at Debenhams ’, which most of customers only relate to on the fashion floors, were made relevant and carry through to the Home floor.
