Much is documented about the Tesco Extra and Tesco Metro/ Express formats but the midsize ‘Superstores’ that actually make up more of their estate than the edge of town super huge ‘Extra’ stores seem to escape the radar.

After the successful launch of LOVE Life last summer, Waitrose have rolled out the second phase of the range that 20.20 defined the customer proposition and brand strategy for. LOVE Life You Count hits the shelves this week and offers customers lower fat versions and calorie controlled portions of their favourite breakfast, lunches, dinners and snacks. With colourful and clearly marked calorie counts on the front of the pack, it enables the customer to watch their weight and diet in an easy, accessible and tasty manner and offers another perspective on healthy eating.

Mariann Wenckheim, partner and director at 20.20, delivered a keynote speech at the yearly retail conference of EFMI Business School in Nunspeet, Netherlands last week.

EFMI is a Dutch business school that focuses its research and executive programs entirely on management issues in the food industry and is affiliated with the University of Groningen.

The shortlist for next year’s Retail Week Awards were announced today and 20.20 were thrilled to see Hobbycraft shortlisted in the category of Store Design of the Year for the flagship store we worked on in, Nugent Shopping Park, Orpington.

Waitrose are launching LOVE life - a new range of delicious and nutritionally balanced foods - in stores nationwide from June 30th. 20.20 worked closely with the Waitrose team to develop the customer proposition, brand strategy and design direction for the new range.
