A fashionable future ahead for de Bijenkorf
20.20 have a long-standing relationship with leading Dutch department store de Bijenkorf. Over the past few years, we have been involved in creating a unique set of designs to enrich de Bijenkorf experience: from brand colour strategy, in-store signage and communications to the store interior design - formula book - outlining the premium department store’s overall spatial expression.
To create a unique experience across all workstreams, the simple truth was: de Bijenkorf needed to be a balance of a ‘World of Brands’ and a ‘World of Inspiration’ as when it comes to retail, impact is everything. Our logic and knowledge of department stores helped define the hierarchy and design language within the complex, large space and create the desired store experience.
We developed a stylistic design that provided an overriding sense of premium shopping; inspired by insight and absolute attention to detail. We achieved our goal to bring de Bijenkorf to an international level and establish a store image that is unique and attractive to de Bijenkorf’s target customers.
The enhanced store design and the new colour palette have made a big difference to de Bijenkorf and customers can now enjoy a premium shopping experience that is simple yet luxurious: a perfect and highly-successful complement to the brand itself.
