Leading bakery brand Anker was keen to rekindle the love of their Viennese customers. The family owned business approached 20.20 to radically evolve the bakery shop for the customer of today. The simple truth was that, we had to entice every second customer to buy one cup of coffee with their ‘Kipferl’ and reposition Anker as the place to get your breakfast and lunch, and every snack in between.
20.20 took the Anker brand right back to its roots. The concept of ‘daily bread’ was evolved into ‘daily meal’ -inspiring a new store format that positioned Anker as the authority on baking , great Viennese coffee and delicious take away food. The new store revolutionised the take away experience on the one hand and improved the dining in experience on the other.
Sales rose above everyone’s expectations. The true success of the new bakery is a younger generation of customers loves Anker for redefining lunchtime in Vienna.
