Changing the face of travel dining
Despite operating under different brands, most dining outlets in British Airports belong to the same umbrella company. Keen to increase revenue, the business approached 20.20 for help with an online voucher scheme – however, our research revealed that the concept lacked creativity and strategy. The simple truth was that speed, simplicity and accessibility were key - after all, time is of the essence for travellers.
20.20 created Eat Drink & Fly: a website that displayed every airport’s restaurants, bars and coffee shops in one place. A specially-developed social media campaign ensured a high-volume of traffic to the site, which used light, bright colours and a simple navigation that inspired customers to find the voucher of their choice quickly and easily.
Eat Drink & Fly was quick to deliver success. In its first year, the website had a membership in excess of 15,000, and a sizeable number of dedicated Facebook followers. Most importantly, customers were delighted to be saving money while still enjoying the benefits of dining while travelling.
