Jim is the Managing Director and co-owner of 20.20. He has led the business since January 2004 and helped orchestrate the agency's transformation into an international consultancy specialising in brand and leisure experiences.
Jim believes that a deep understanding of how people behave sets the pace and ambition for organisations across the globe – building on 20.20’s reputation for making our clients’ businesses more social, more successful and more sustainable.
With over 30 years of experience in brand and strategic design consulting, Jim has worked across many industry sectors, concentrating on retail, entertainment, hospitality, global automotive and consumer services.
At 20.20, Jim is renowned for the repositioning and rebranding of Sainsbury’sSupermarkets in 2001, the brand strategy and badge design for Arsenal FC in2002, and the repositioning of Orange (mobile) retail stores in the UK in 2004.
Jim has been instrumental in winning and developing client relationships with a host of global clients, including American Express, TUI Travel, Nissan, Austrian Post, Belgian Rail, Extra (KSA), Ferrari (Italy), Honey Birdette(Australia), Konzum(Croatia), TACC (Kenya) and Zadina (UAE). Alongside a stellar UK client list including Hobbycraft, Hotel Chocolat, MagnetKitchens andPets at Home. Jim has led several strategic masterplanning projects in culture and travel sectors, which include the V&A, Glasgow Museums, St Pancras Station, Edinburgh Airport and Gatwick Airport.
As President of the Design Business Association (2014-2018), a DBA Board Member and a fellow of the RSA, Jim continues to be an advocate of the UK design industry, focusing on the effectiveness of design in society and the global power of design strategy in business today.
